![]() ![]() but I cant get my E90 to mount either SD or XQD cards to the Mac. Not a fix for the root problem, but a work-around so I thought I'd revive this thread incase anyone else is having this issue. Hi all Got a brand new 2019 MacBook Pro and installed the only XQD driver I could. Tried using an Apple USB-C to USB-A adapter with an unknown brand of USB-A to MicroB SS and the XQD card works fine. Tried reboots and such, plugging, unplugging etc until I ran across this thread with the comment above about the cable. Installed Big Sur and SD cards continued to work fine but the first time I tried an XQD card - no response at all. Old thread, but just ran into this problem - 16" MacBook Pro has been working fine with the MRW-E90 Reader with both SD and XQD cards using a USB-C to USB 3.2 MicroB SS cable up through the last Catalina OS version. It also works on my other daughters older Macbook Air (with USB-A ports and the USB-A version of the connecting cable) If I use the USB-C cable from the reader directly it doesn't work - but using that same cable directly to my daughters Macbook Pro (with USB-C ports) it does work (she's not running 10.15 tho - something earlier). Strangely it works on my Macbook Pro when I use a USB-C to USB-A adapter plugged into the USB-A version of the connecting cable from the reader. It's working on my iMac (Late 2015 27" Retina).īy the way, there is an update to Catalina that came out today.
